This is the miner trapped for two days in the Bulqiza mine

More than 30 hours have passed since the incident in the Bulqiza mine, where as a result of the collapse of a mineral mass, an employee remained trapped inside. The search for the miner Muharrem Plaku, 61 years old continues, but so far there is no trace of him in the gallery. He was working in the gallery in the First Zone of the Bulqiza Mine when the ore mass fell.

Currently, several groups of workers are working, together with Rescue Emergency groups, RISHM, and AKSEM - National Mining Safety Agency, to find the miner.

But according to them the extraction may take time, because the amount of ore dropped is too large and consequently has blocked the gallery completely.

Some miners have indicated that the 62-year-old trapped is a mining specialist and that when the accident happened he was preparing the holes to carry out the dynamite explosion according to the rules. A day after the event the causes of the collapse are still unknown.

What do the specialists say?

Emergency Rescue specialists say that the whole area or some complete basement has collapsed, which means that the collapse is very large. Older miners familiar with these types of demolition say it can take days as a cleaning process.

Other miners complain about the safety conditions in the gallery, and that such accidents at work are not uncommon. Bulqiza Police meanwhile interrogated the administrator of the company KADURTEX sh.pk
