German President Frank Walter Steinmeier arrives in Tirana

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived today in Tirana. He was received with ceremony by President Bajram Begaj.
This is the first visit by a German president in 27 years.
His visit comes as part of a 4-day tour that Steinmaier is conducting in Albania and North Macedonia, two countries that this year started negotiations for membership in the European Union.
