From today, the border between Kosovo and Albania is crossed without any control
No passport control, no physical control of the vehicle and no stop at the borders between Albania and Kosovo. From today, vehicles have started free movement.
The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, posted a video on Instagram this morning.
"Good morning with the first borderless holidays between Albania and Kosovo.
No stops, no delays, no wasted time because the only thing that matters is enjoying the tourist season", writes Kumbaro.
The border will be without control until September 30, according to the agreement signed on June 20 of this year between Albania and Kosovo, at the proposal of Prime Minister Rama.
For every weekend during the year and every official holiday, the border will also be free, avoiding bureaucratic controls and long queues.
