The State Police has published the new plan of measures on the occasion of the beginning of the new school year, which begins this Monday.
The police is cooperating with the local government, psychologists, social workers, the Ministry of Health and the AKU for the smooth running of this school year.

The State Police, in fulfillment of the mission and tasks defined in the School Security Package, has drawn up a detailed plan of measures with concrete tasks for all engaged Police structures. The purpose of this plan is to guarantee public safety, maintain order and peace, prevent negative phenomena in schools, as well as increase safety for students and teaching staff, both in school environments and on the streets.
In order to ensure the normal development of the learning process and the safety of students in outdoor environments and in the vicinity of schools, the State Police has engaged Assistant Police Specialists in the areas, Community Policing employees, General Patrol services, and the Special Force. Eagle", Traffic Police and Criminal Police.
Before the beginning of the school year, an assessment of the criminal situation was made in all districts. Based on this assessment, the local police structures have drawn up Action Plans with clear tasks for controlling the territory, maintaining order and engaging the criminal and traffic police.
Within the framework of the measures defined in the School Security Package, detailed tasks have been assigned to police officers who serve near schools. The increased presence of the police in these premises aims to collect and process information in real time, acting quickly to prevent any possible criminal act in or near schools.
In this context, it is cooperating closely with the Regional Education Directorates, school principals, teaching staff and school security officers to guarantee a good start to the new school year and create a safer environment for every student.
Also, within the School Safety Package, State Police structures throughout the country are cooperating with the local government, psychologists, social workers, the Ministry of Health and the AKU.
With the start of the new school year, Assistant Specialists in the areas will have daily contact with security officers and school principals. The General Patrols will also be present according to their jurisdiction.
The Traffic Police will have an increased presence on the road axes, especially near the schools located near the main roads, both at the beginning and at the end of the learning process. Continuous and rigorous controls will be carried out for drivers of vehicles transporting students, including alcohol tests, technical control of vehicles and enforcement of student transport rules.
