Today there were media reports that the Homeland Justice hacker group has released data obtained from MEMEX, the criminal data management system.

In an official response, the Police has stated that MEMEX has not been hacked and that the recently published data is not related to the database of the police system.

The complete reaction of the State Police: From the statements made today in the media and the references of these statements, according to which data was obtained from the MEMEX system, we clarify the public opinion that this system has not been affected and that these data are not related at all with the MEMEX police system database.

The State Police announces that, until these moments, sensitive data administered in this system, which are related to police work, have not been affected or damaged.

The State Police, in close cooperation with partners, is investigating the origin of the leak of these data and appeals that, in accordance with the prosecutor's order, dated 19.09.2022, they are not published by the audiovisual media, written, online, in social networks or in any form of publication or transfer, data posted by the authors of this cyberattack against the digital systems of the State Police.
