Rama explains why he did not post about Switzerland's victory over Serbia in the World Cup
Prime Minister Rama has taught everyone to understand everything about him from the posts he makes on social media. The fact that Rama did not post, according to some, a photo with Shaqiri and Xhaka doing the eagle after the victory with Serbia, has been commented on the apology. The Prime Minister himself responded by saying today at the press conference:
"I don't really understand why I should speak. I am not the prime minister of Zvricra. I am the prime minister of Albania. If I were to separate from the Swiss national team two Swiss citizens who have Albanian nationality, who are Albanians whom we see with love and undoubtedly with special sympathy, for a match, what would I do? I would use those two figures for politics and in a not at all dignified way, because it is the national team of another country. I would fan the flames of a nationalism, sorry for the expression, ridiculous. Nationalism is always as funny as it is dangerous. I don't see it as necessary at all and I think that whoever does this, is not doing the right thing. How can two figures be used as fodder for a Balkan war game", said Rama.
After Rama's stay, some pages on social media published two old posts from 2018 where Rama supported Xhaka and Shaqiri in a similar case.
This time Rama reacted on Twitter where he wrote:
"There are some who are bigger patriots than others and some who are smarter than others, who oppose my words today with my posts once about Xherdan and Granit! I stand 100% for both and those who don't want to understand why I don't know how to help them", said Rama.
