Americans erupt in protests after the killing of a young black man by the police

Protests have erupted in several US cities after the release of videos of the killing of Tire Nichols by five police officers in Memphis.
In the city of Tennessee, protesters blocked the bridge that crosses the Mississippi River and leads to Arkansas.
In Washington, dozens of protesters gathered in Lafayette Park, near the Black Lives Matter Plaza and on K Street, while in Boston they marched along Tremont Street, creating problems for the city's traffic.
NBC also reports protests in Sacramento, San Francisco, Atlanta, Asheville, Philadelphia, Providence and Dallas.
The protests erupted after Memphis authorities released one of the videos showing the five African-American agents detaining and beating the African-American Nichols to death.
The footage is brutal and shocking. Dashcam video shows 29-year-old Nichols caught after an attempted escape, brutally beaten by officers for three minutes.
