Referendum under the terror of armed door-to-door soldiers
In Ukraine, in the regions occupied by Russian forces, a so-called "independence referendum" is being held, where citizens are asked to sign that they are in favor of joining Russia.
This step, which precedes Moscow's annexation of southern Ukraine, has been strongly opposed by Western countries that have accused Russia of organizing illegal referendums as a way of seizing its neighbor's territories.
But how is the referendum being carried out in reality?
A video circulating online, first posted by Ukrainian media, clearly proves that the Russians are terrorizing Ukrainians by sending Chechen soldiers to their homes in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions to sign the referendum.
Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Crimea are the Ukrainian regions under Russian occupation where the referendum is taking place.
