American "Dancing With the Stars" star Cheryl Burke shares on social media the story of abortion when she was 18 years old
Well-known American model, presenter and ballerina Cheryl Burke shared through a video on Tik Tok her personal experience with abortion when she was 18 years old.
20 years later, she says that she has not regretted this decision, despite the objections of the time to terminate a pregnancy. The first winner of "Dancing With the Stars" in America says that it would not be this today if she became a mother then, at such a young age, and even says with conviction that she would not be a good mother either.
"It weighs heavily on my heart because I had an abortion when I was 18 and if there were no family planning centers today I would be a mother and not only would I not have been a good mother but I would not be either. "I have to talk to you here today," she said in a heartfelt confession to her followers.
Rebellious with the decision of the United States Supreme Court to legally ban abortion she says that everyone should protest today, especially for those girls and women who may be victims of abuse and rape and should now be forcibly brought to be the child conceived as a result of violence.
"I feel sorry for all the women out there who are currently pregnant, or may be victims of rape or abuse and are now pregnant," she said. "This is terrible news for you and anyone who has to deal with it in the future. This is absolutely absurd and I will always support people who also agree with me so I believe we should continue to fight. "We must not stop fighting for our rights as women," Burke said.
