Famous dancer Kledi Kadiu and his wife Charlotte have talked about the illness of their son, Gabriel, on an Italian show. Sadly, both show that Gabriel risked losing his life.
13 days after birth he was diagnosed with meningoencephalitis, an infection of the central nervous system and the baby is still struggling with the disease, but "hope is on our side," says Charlotte.
"13 days after his birth, I noticed that something was wrong, so we went to the emergency room for security. He seemed to have had an epileptic seizure so in a short time the doctors had to intervene urgently. "I was powerless and could not understand what was happening," said Charlotte.
"Within hours the doctors told us that Gabriel had contracted a virus that had damaged his head. It was meningoencephalitis, an infection of the central nervous system.
"Then the baby stayed for a month and a half in intensive therapy", adds Kledi with a voice broken by emotions.
A story full of pain, but also hopeful, because the healing process is still very long, consisting of ups and downs.
"When I learned that Gabriel had risked his life, I felt like the luckiest man in the world I had. I looked at him in the morning when I went to the hospital, I said how much desire do you have to live, you are very strong. He gave us the strength to move forward. It is our little Samurai. "Our hero," said the couple.
Kledi and Charlotte, who have been together for 7 years, closed the interview with a deep recollection of life's most important values.
"Love has given us the strength to overcome everything," they said.
