The prosecution changes the indictment against Hashim Thaçi and others,

The judge of the Preliminary Procedure of the Special Court, Nicolas Guillou, has approved the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office of The Hague to amend the indictment confirmed against Hashim Thaçi and others.

The Special Prosecutor's Office has requested that the allegations of crimes in the city of Ferizaj be removed from the indictment.

“The Special Prosecutor's Office requests permission to amend the Confirmed indictment to remove allegations of crimes committed against at least one victim between about [Redacted] 1999 in a house in or around Ferizaj. The Special Prosecutor's Office of The Hague explains that it has decided not to rely on the evidence of [Redacted] and that it considers that there is now insufficient evidence to prove Ferizaj's claims", the document published on the website of the Specialized Chambers reads.

The judge of the Preliminary Procedure has approved the request of the Prosecutor's Office of The Hague and has ordered them to withdraw the mentioned claims about an alleged crime in Ferizaj.
