Biden pardons his son: I did it as president and as a father
Biden could not resist and violated the principles by amnestying his son Hunter Biden.
After promising not to interfere in the boy's legal situation, Biden signed his pardon just two months before leaving the White House.
Hunter Biden was found guilty of federal felonies related to illegal possession of a firearm and tax evasion.
"Today I signed the pardon for my son Hunter. From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the decisions of the Justice Department, and I kept my word as I watched my son unfairly prosecuted. Any reasonable person looking at the facts of Hunter's case would conclude that he was targeted simply because he was my son. I hope Americans will understand why a father and a president would make this decision," said Biden.
Trump reacted after this decision, describing it as an abuse of justice.
