Rare interview of Olena Zelenska: No one can take my husband, not even the war
Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska has given a rare interview to her husband Volodymyr Zelensky. This is the second time the couple have been seen together since the start of the war in Ukraine.
Olena, along with her two children aged 9 and 17, fled Kiev to take refuge in a secret location in late February, and appeared just days ago where she attended the funeral of the former Ukrainian president.
In the interview she expressed that she was surprised that her husband has inspired the world with his unwavering leadership and great resistance to Russia.
"No one takes my husband, not even the war. Our family is divided in two, like many other Ukrainian families. He is working hard and for days we only talk on the phone. We have only met a few times during this time and I am still glad we had the opportunity to spend time together. I remember the first night the war broke out. I woke up to the sirens and saw that Volodymyr was not near me. I got up and saw that he was dressed, but not in a suit. I asked him where he was going, but he simply replied "Nisi". "I can not say that Volodymyr has changed since the beginning of this war. He was a trustworthy man before, and continues to remain. "His view has not changed," said Zelensky's wife.
