Who is Marco Alberti, the new ambassador of Italy to Albania?
Marco Alberti has been appointed as the new Italian ambassador to Albania.
The news was announced by the Italian Foreign Ministry through a post on the social network 'X'.
We recall that Fabrizio Bucci left the position of Italian Ambassador to Albania, after the end of his 5-year mandate.

"Transforming strategic cooperation into projects and projects into results. Passion and determination to build together a future of peace, sustainable development and inclusive growth between two friendly peoples, firmly supporting Albania's membership in the European Union," reads the post by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Who is Marco Alberti?

Marco Alberti graduated with high marks in International Law from the University of Bologna in 1997. In 2000, Alberti joined the Italian National Foreign Service.

As a career diplomat, he served in Buenos Aires and New York, focusing on commercial diplomacy. After a professional experience in the Department of Communication and External Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in 2012 Marco Alberti worked for Enel spa, the largest company in the world in terms of green electricity production.

Since 1 September 2021, he has served as Ambassador of Italy to Kazakhstan. He speaks English and Spanish. Marco Alberti is married and has three children.
