The Turkish parliament ratifies Finland's membership in NATO

Turkey has today ratified Finland's membership in NATO

Turkish lawmakers unanimously backed the Nordic country's membership, two weeks after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave his consent.

The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament stated that Finland's request for membership was accepted with 276 votes out of 276 members of the Turkish Parliament and has already become law.

As for Sweden, President Erdogan has resisted because of accusations that the Nordic country supports terrorists.
