Bashar Al-Assad has been granted asylum in Russia after fleeing his country on Sunday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has supported the Assad regime for ten years.

As the BBC reports: "Deposed Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and his family have arrived in Moscow, Russia. They have been granted asylum."

Two weeks ago, Syrian rebels rose up against the 50-year dictatorial regime and succeeded in overthrowing Bashar Al-Assad.
