Photos of French President Emmanuel Macron giving his Sports Minister Amelie Oudea-Castera a big hug during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics have gone viral on social media.
Oudea-Castera, 46, appears to have aimed the kiss at Macron's neck.
Gabriel Attal, the Prime Minister of France, next to them, is looking at them.

"I find this photo inappropriate, it is not worthy of presidents and ministers", commented a third user on X.
The photo became a big topic of discussion on social media after the French magazine Madame Figaro put it on the cover.
