How much money do you have to pay to be part of Trump's inauguration?
If you want to shake hands with President-elect Donald Trump and his incoming administration during the inauguration festivities, it will cost you anywhere from half a million to $2 million.
Trump's team unveiled a list of benefits for donors over the weekend of January 20, with packages starting at $50,000, according to a copy of the "Trump Vance Inaugural Committee Benefits" documents obtained by Axios.
Recipients will receive up to six tickets to eight different events between January 17th and the big day, January 20th.
Those who pay more can secure invitations to an interfaith service and a candlelit dinner with the president and the incoming first lady, Melania Trump.
Donors who give $50,000 to $100,000 receive two tickets to a rally and reception scheduled for the Saturday before the inauguration, as well as hotel rooms and invitations to the Jan. 20 swearing-in ceremony, parade and evening ball. Only those who give $1 million to $2 million will receive two seats to a Jan. 18 dinner with Vice President-elect J.D. Vance and his wife, Usha Vance.
The practice of granting high-dollar donors access to inaugural events is not uncommon, as former President Barack Obama and President Joe Biden did the same.
