The former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, has been released from prison.
The Special Court has placed him under house arrest. The reason for the release is the passing of the 6-month detention period. Dako is accused of "Misuse of duty" in the procedure of granting a permit for the construction of a multi-story building and misuse of public funds in the procurement procedure for the construction of a promenade on the coast.
