Balluku: There will be no increase in electricity

The government is not planning any increase in electricity prices. This is what Minister Belinda Balluku said in an interview for A2CNN.

"The Prime Minister did not say that the tariff will be discussed, since we declared the tariff in the blackest year for energy worldwide, 2022, and we showed that, unlike other European countries, the family tariff and for small and medium-sized businesses were not touch And when it hasn't been affected in years, imagine how much it could be affected this year", stated Balluku.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that with the arrival of the summer season, the energy situation worsens for Albania and all other countries in the region that rely on production from hydropower plants. This moment will prompt the government to start an analysis of the situation and consider whether to apply the bandages. Although according to Balluk, all indicators point to a low probability of this happening.
