NATO chief: Deeply concerned about the security situation in Europe

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has expressed serious concerns about Europe's security amid ongoing regional and global challenges.
At a joint meeting of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs and Security and Defense Committees, Ruttes called for closer cooperation between the European Union (EU) and NATO in addressing threats, including the war in Ukraine, destabilizing efforts by Russia and its allies, as well as climate change.
"I am deeply concerned about the security situation in Europe. We are not at war, but we are not at peace either," Rutte said.
He stressed the need to increase the resilience of societies and critical infrastructure, supporting and increasing support for Ukraine to change the course of the war and deter further aggression.
