Meta: Rama creates scandals to avoid attention from leaving the Albanians

The Chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, in a media conference today, has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama, stating that his only goal at the head of the government is to create scandals in order to drive Albanians out of the country and into to bring foreign citizens instead.

"If we are going to deal with all the scandals that this government produces every day, let's deal with it. But it is also the desire of this government to shift attention from the biggest priorities of our country. This is an adventure, as it is an announced adventure to let the Albanians go because workers from Bangladesh are coming to us and with them we will join the EU. And it follows this logic. Leave the Albanians and bring in rich people. The aim is to turn them either into servants or those who remain here into emigrants. These are scenarios that will not work here. Even there, they are focused on the towers and square meters, that's how this work started", said Meta.

This reaction of the former President comes after the decision of the Council of Ministers for "the implementation of Public Private Partnership procedures in the sector of citizenship programs". Until now, the granting of Albanian citizenship was a process involving several institutions, even those of security, while everything took shape with a decree bearing the signature of the President of the Republic. However, the decision signed by Prime Minister Edi Rama has changed the process followed until now and this service is now licensed.
