Meta does not trust Basha, he is afraid of a big deal… PS-PD?

President Ilir Meta warned yesterday that if Edi Rama wins 71 seats in the April 25 elections, he will resign and become the leader of the opposition.

Regarding the president's statement, co-chair of the electoral reform Damian Gjiknuri stated last night that President Meta is being projected as the leader of the opposition, due to the lack of trust in Lulzim Basha, and that he is afraid of a possible PS-PD coalition: I do not want to speculate about the future, said Gjiknuri on the show last night.

"I believe we will not need those mandates. Meta is starting to be projected as the leader of the opposition. Apparently he does not trust Lulzim Basha. He has been working for such for a long time. He no longer trusts the current opposition leader. I think that the SP will not remain hostage to the mandates of the SMI. I do not want to speculate about the future, politics is a moving ground, the will of the people will be seen and we will see. "There may be a bigger deal, which Meta might be afraid of."

Regarding the agreement signed yesterday between PD-LSI, Gjiknuri said that it looks like an empty agreement:

"This PD-LSI agreement seems an empty agreement. It has no content and does not even bring votes. They are the same as in 2017, then the chess, now they have joined the two fists ".

Meanwhile, a few weeks ago, Prime Minister Rama stated that in the agreement with Basha in 2017, the goal was for LSi to be scrapped.

Rama tha:

'Leading the SMI to scrap, practically a joint project with Lulzim Basha, is being betrayed by Lulzim Basha. I have not betrayed him. Lulzim Basha has betrayed this project, he was the one who shared with the Democrats the necessity to lead the SMI to SPAK and today he is simply a shareholder of sh.pk of four partners, where Basha is the minimum partner. That the main partners are Berisha and Meta '.

While Basha denied it, saying that Rama is lying.
