Fabrizio Bucci has given a pessimistic message about politics in Albania at the end of his mandate as Italian ambassador to Tirana.
"The political situation in Albania continues to be conflictual. We will have elections in a few months and I hope that this will be an electoral campaign based on facts, because I believe that Albanian voters should understand what the parties' programs are and what they will do to improve the lives of citizens. Voters will judge the programs, and they should understand what politics will do here," said Buçi at an event in Gjirokastra where he was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen" for his contribution to strengthening relations between the two countries.
Bucci will be appointed as Italy's Ambassador to Germany, continuing his diplomatic career.
