In the local elections, there will be electronic voting and counting in 3

In the local elections on May 14, there will be at least 3 local units where voting and counting will be done electronically.

Unlike the previous election process, where the CEC was not given much time to include this obligation of the Electoral Code, this year the government has approved the additional fund for the institution that administers the elections so that this process can be extended further.

If in the elections of April 25, 2021 electronic voting and counting was carried out only in unit 10 in the capital, in the next elections it is expected that voting will be done this way in at least 3 municipalities.

The government has approved an additional fund in the 2023 budget for the Central Election Commission for this purpose.

The municipalities where the electronic voting and counting will be carried out will be decided by the CEC, but what is known is that one of them is the Municipality of Vora where it was also piloted in the partial local elections, while the other two are thought to be a large municipality and a small one.
