NATO has put a reserve battalion of troops on high alert in Kosovo in case of further tension in the situation in the north.

This was announced during the visit of the commander of the NATO Joint Forces Command in Naples, Admiral Stuart Munsch, to KFOR.

"Discussions between Admiral Munsch and KFOR Commander, Major General Angelo Michele Ristuccia included the deployment of 700 additional troops from the reserve battalion called to Kosovo by NATO to normalize the situation and ensure security, as well as the possible deployment of another battalion reserve that has been placed on high alert, in case additional troops are needed," said the NATO Joint Forces Command in Naples post on Twitter.
