An American Idol competitor is angry as a mother and has expressed her sadness on social networks.
Shortly after her audition for the 31st season of the singing competition aired, Sara Beth Liebe came out and talked about the corny joke that judge Katy Perry made about her.
Sara left the jury speechless when she told them she was 25 years old. She looked like 16 to them. Then she told them that she was also a mother and had three children.
Katy Perry got up from the chair, dropped on the table as a way to show surprise.
Sarah made a joke: "If Katy lays on the table, I'm going to die."
And Katy Perry replied: You are lying too much on the table, honey.
"It was embarrassing to hear that on TV. It was painful. I think women who support and uplift other women are so cool and I think mother-shaming is so lame. I think it's hard enough to be a mother. and it's hard enough to be a woman."
Sara Beth is the mother of son Kellin and daughters Willow and Ellie.
