Celine Dion has been forced to cancel her entire world tour after her health deteriorated amid her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome.
On her social media, she announced: "I'm so sorry to let you all down once again... and although it breaks my heart, it's good to cancel everything until I'm really ready to get back on stage... I'm not giving up... and I can't wait to see you again!”
SPS, as the syndrome is also called, turns people into human statues and occurs in 1 in 1 million cases.
The disease causes the muscles to tense uncontrollably. Until a certain moment that movement or even speaking becomes impossible.
There is no cure for SPS, but there are treatments to slow further progression.
