Comedian Bill Cosby found guilty of raping a teenager in 1975

Lawyers in a civil trial found comedian Bill Cosby guilty of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl at the Playboy mansion in 1975.

The Los Angeles jury ruled in favor of Judy Huth, who is now 64 years old, and decided the $ 500,000 compensation that the actor must pay Judy. She said the fact that lawyers believed in her story meant more than money.

"It was torture," Huth said of the seven-year legal battle.

The jury's decision is a major legal loss for the 84-year-old artist, who was once called "America's father." The verdict comes almost a year after his criminal conviction in Pennsylvania for sexual assault was overturned and he was released from prison.

Cosby did not attend the trial or testify in person. He still denies that such a thing happened.

Cosby's spokesman Andrew Wyatt said they would appeal the decision.

Huth testified that in a bedroom next to a playroom, Cosby tried to put her hand under her pants, then undressed and forced her to have sex.

Huth filed her lawsuit in 2014, saying her son turned 15 - the age she was at the time - and after some women were accusing Cosby, she regained her sad thoughts about the trauma she went through as a teenager. .

Outside the court, a group of women celebrated Judy's victory. They claimed to have also been victims of Cosby's sexual abuse.

One of them, Chelan Lasha, who testified against Cosby in the Pennsylvania trial, was in tears. She said he had drugged and raped her in the Elvis Presley suite, at the Las Vegas Hilton, when she was 17 years old.

"He is a strange man, he is a sexual predator, he is a deviant. He is terrible. It's one more victory. I came here to stay with Judy. I'm proud of Judy. I am happy for the result ", said Lasha.
