Marilyn Monroe sexually abused by JFK? The scene in the movie 'Blonde' irritates the fans
Netflix users have been outraged by a scene in the new Marilyn Monroe movie "Blonde," which is played by actress Ana de Armas.
The controversial new film from director Andrew Dominik was adapted from Joyce Carol Oates' fictional book about Monroe, which was published in 2001.
Many may believe that Blonde is a standard Monroe biopic, but it is the opposite: due to the lack of source material, the film contains several imagined scenes from the life of the Hollywood star, one of which is accused of going too far. . There is also a scene involving John F Kennedy, the former US president with whom Monroe is believed to have had an affair in the 1960s. Rumors of this affair remain unverified to this day – but Blonde goes further than that.
Near the end of the film, Monroe is shown being drugged and sent to a character called "the president", who bears a striking resemblance to JFK.
While he is on the phone refuting allegations of sexual assault, he forces Monroe to perform a sexual act on him while she tries to disengage from the situation.
Some viewers who are unaware of the source material seem to believe that this actually happened, despite the fact that there is no record of any such incident.
This is one of the reasons why the setting of the scene is being questioned, with many calling it "character assassination". Others are calling it "exploitation" of Monroe's story.
"I don't know if this is proven or not?" asked one viewer, adding: "It's a big step to lie about it though."
"Why would the movie Blonde fabricate a JFK rape of Marilyn Monroe?
Others said the scene "should never have made it" into the film.
