Actress Annie Wersching passed away from cancer early Sunday morning. The news was told by her publicist, Craig Schneider for CNN. Wersching was 45 years old.
She was best known for her role as FBI agent Renee Walker in the series "24".
Wersching's husband, Stephen Full, released a statement to CNN:
"A cavernous hole has been opened in the soul of this family today. But she left us the means to fill it. She found the miracle in the simplest moment. She didn't look for music to dance to. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find us, but to look for it, because it is everywhere," he wrote.
Neil Druckmann, the creative director of the new HBO Max series "The Last of Us" based on the game, tweeted after Wesching's death:
"I just learned that my dear friend, Annie Wersching, passed away. We just lost an artist and a beautiful human being. My heart is broken. Thoughts are with her loved ones."
A GoFundMe was set up by "Handmaid's Tale" actress Ever Carradine in support of Annie's children and husband so they can continue to live life in a way they know would make Annie proud.
