Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco have officially denied 'malicious rumours' that they are separating after almost 12 years of marriage.
Charlene was not in Monaco for part of 2021. He stayed in South Africa because he suffered from a rare infection.
Recently, he has also returned to public duties, but rumors of a possible separation have continued. To date, the royal family has not responded.
A spokesman for the royal family said: “I would like to officially deny the malicious rumors spread by the French magazine Royauté. Please disregard this article which is completely unfounded."
Rumors gained momentum when the article was repeated by various social media sites.
The royal couple married in July 2011 and in 2014 gave birth to twins Jacques and Gabriella.
