Tupac is honored with a star on the Walk of Fame

A full 27 years after his death, the most influential rapper in the world, Tupac Shakur, has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The musician who was considered to revolutionize the world of hip-hop died at the age of 25 after several gunshots in his car in 1996, an event that still remains unsolved.

Also present at this ceremony was the late artist's sister, who shared some beautiful moments when Tupac was still alive.

"Tupac knew early on that he was destined to do something extraordinary. And I, as his little sister, was lucky enough to see him reach the top. From the first day he stepped on stage at the Apollo Theater at the age of 13, he believed he was going to be a star here."

Shakur grew up in a poor family in Harlem to become one of the most listened to music artists with over 75 million records sold worldwide. One of Tupac's most popular songs, "Dear Mama", was dedicated to his mother, Afeni Shakur.
