Bob Ballard, veteran sports commentator, on Eurosport is no longer allowed to comment on sporting events at the Olympic Games because of a sexist comment he made.

As the Australian swimmers were leaving the pool after winning the gold medal, he said they were done, but using a negative connotation of procrastination and added: You know how women are... acting around... putting on their make-up.
His co-commentator and British swimming champion Lizzie Simmonds immediately called his comment inappropriate, but got his laughs back. No thread of reflection or regret. The comment went viral and this led to his conviction. Ballard has yet to comment on the incident.
Meanwhile, Mollie O'Callaghan, Emma McKeon, Meg Harris and Shayna Jack beat the USA and China in the 4x100m freestyle relay team race.
