Euro2024 comes with two "Fan Zones", in two poles of Tirana

On the eve of Euro2024, which starts today with the Germany-Scotland match, Tirana is ready to celebrate and support the Albanian national football team. This time, two "Fan Zones" have been set up in the capital, one in the "Skënderbej" square and the other at the "Selman Stërmasi" stadium.

Mayor Erion Veliaj visited both of these sports spaces, dedicated to fans, and invited all the citizens of Tirana to come and celebrate together. He emphasized that the concept of a sports field has been created in the square, so that everyone feels as if they are in the stadium.

"This is the biggest sports space in Tirana today. The closest atmosphere to what is happening in Germany with our National Team. In the 'Fan Zone' there is something for everyone, even for those who want to see the match, for whom we have reserved the central part. We imitated a football field because practically everyone can feel as if they have gone down to the field to be the 12th player and to bring positive energy from Tirana", stated Veliaj.

He added that during the month when the European Championship will take place, it is planned to have activities for all ages in "Skënderbej" square. In the hours when there are no matches, "Fan Zone" will be a party arena to support our national team. "We want to have a good time, we will have DJs and concerts. Tirana will be all in celebration to support the National Team, to have a good time and to enjoy this experience, which does not happen every year. It is conceived as a family environment, there is something for both parents and children. Everyone is welcome", declared the mayor.

A special space has also been dedicated to foreigners who visit our country during the summer months, who want to support their national teams during Euro 2024. Veliaj said that embassies will also become part of the "Fan Zone" in "Skënderbej" square. friends of our country, who have their own community in Albania.

When he stopped at the "Selman Stërmasi" stadium, Veliaj said here the citizens will enjoy matches and concerts in a real stadium. "This stadium will turn into a real arena, where the 12th player of the National Team will play," he said.
