The health condition of football legend Pele continues to deteriorate day by day.

The Brazilian, who has long been diagnosed with cancer, was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo last week, receiving medication to ease pain in a palliative care unit.

The 82-year-old no longer responds to the chemotherapy treatment he has been undergoing since September 2021, due to an operation for cancer.

In addition, at the beginning of the year he was diagnosed with metastases in the intestines, lungs and liver.

The former Santos and Brazil player is currently receiving treatment to ease the pain and help his breathing.
