Verstappen wins the Canadian Grand Prix

Reigning champion Max Verstappen has continued his impressive performance in Formula 1 after securing victory in the Canadian Grand Prix.

He made a professional appearance to further cement his place at the top of the pilot rankings, while his longtime rival Lewis Hamilton secured only his second campaign podium finishing third.

While everything was going well for Verstappen, the same cannot be said for his Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez, who was forced to retire after just nine laps due to a technical defect.

Meanwhile, Verstappen's 2021 rival Lewis Hamilton started making his move after starting the race in fourth place. As a result, the Englishman overtook Alonson in the 24th lap to move up to third place in the hunt to finally start his season for this year.
