The millionaire who left everything and came home: I want to sit on the beach and do nothing
The world of international finance was shocked by the sudden announcement of a well-known millionaire. He decided to give up managing his affairs to enjoy the beach of Australia, where he was born.
Andreë Formica, CEO of Jupiter Fund Management said one fine day: “I just want to sit on a beach. And mine nothing. I'm not thinking about anything else but this."
But why did the manager decide to close the chapter of the profession "as a millionaire"?
He said that he was tired from the pace of work and that he was looking for not only physical but also psychological recovery.
For Bloomberg, the 51-year-old explained why he decided to leave his business, bustling London after 30 years to go to the seaside in Australia.
There in Australia he has his family with him, his four children and two elderly parents.
The administration of the businesses passed to his replacement Chief Investment Officer Matthew Beesley. The Jupiter company said in a brief statement: "Andrew has always been very clear with the board that his long-term plans included moving to his native Australia with his family."
