In Apulia, the newlyweds donate the excess food from the wedding banquet to the poor
In Puglia, Italy, leftover food from wedding banquets doesn't end up in the trash.
It is an increasingly common choice among spouses, almost a habit: in addition to celebrating the wedding with relatives and friends, many poor families are helped by local associations and parishes.
At the beginning of August, Emiliana and her partner had chosen to donate to the poor what would end up in the trash at the end of the holiday. The meals were all distributed through the local network.
A few days ago, Franceska and Davide had chosen the same procedure.
Nothing goes to waste.
