An asteroid is coming closer to Earth this week than ever before

An asteroid the size of a truck is scheduled to come very close to Earth this week, according to scientists.
But don't worry, it is not predicted to have an impact and cause damage. Nasa assures all concerned that nothing serious will happen.
The asteroid, 2023 BU, will pass by the planet over the southern tip of South America around 7:27 p.m. It will be 2,200 miles above the Earth's surface. The asteroid will be within the orbit of geosynchronous satellites.
The asteroid was discovered four days ago by astronomer Gennadiy Borisov.
The facility is estimated to be 28 meters wide.
NASA noted that even if the asteroid were to hit Earth, it would 'turn into a fireball and disintegrate harmlessly in the atmosphere, with some of the larger debris potentially falling as small meteors. '
