Al is chosen as the word of the year, according to the British Collins

The British dictionary Collins announced the word of the year "AI" (artificial intelligence).

The company's announcement states that the use of the term has quadrupled since the beginning of 2023.

According to him, artificial intelligence was in focus this year for how it has developed and quickly become as pervasive and embedded in our lives as email, streaming or any other once-futuristic, now-everyday technology.

Collins Dictionaries defines AI as "the simulation of human mental functions by means of computer programs".

It is "considered the next great technological revolution", writes the publisher.
