Apple is being sued by two women after being tracked by ex-boyfriends via AirTag

Apple is being sued by two women who say its AirTag devices made it easier for their ex-partners to track them.

The women said Apple has been unable to protect people from spam through AirTag since it was launched in April 2021.

Starting at $29, AirTags are 3.2 cm in diameter and are intended to be inserted or attached to keys, wallets, backpacks and other items, to track them if items are lost.

But privacy and law enforcement experts have said some people use AirTags for criminal or malicious purposes.
