Today, in the lobby of the National Opera and Ballet Theater, tributes were held in honor of the great actress Margarita Xhepa, who passed away the day before, on April 3, at the age of 91. The ceremony began at 10:00 and will last until 13:00, gathering well-known figures from art, culture and politics, as well as hundreds of citizens who gave their final farewell to the distinguished artist.
Margarita Xhepa, one of the icons of Albanian theater and cinema, passed away just a day ago, having just celebrated her 91st birthday. With a brilliant career that includes over 150 roles in theater and 32 roles in cinema, Xhepa remains an unforgettable figure for Albanian art.
The audience will remember her for her excellent performances in films such as "The Last Winter", "Concert in '36", "The Passionate One", "General Gramophone", as well as for her extraordinary roles on the theater stage.
