Rama to Al Jazeera: The project in Zvërnec will be realized

Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that the project in Zvërnec, which is worth billions of dollars, will be realized despite the massive protests that are taking place every day.
"There has never been any question about whether this project will be realized or not. This is a blessing for the country. An investment of 4 billion euros in a country with a gross domestic product of around 27 billion euros speaks for itself. As for the project that has caused all this reaction and controversy around the world, it is about private property. It is not about public land that the Albanian government is giving away by selling the land. It is private property. It is an expression of interest based on a private agreement between private parties, in which the Albanian government has no role," declared Rama.
