Rama: 10 years ago flamingos were killed and eaten, today we have expanded protected areas

Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke on his podcast "Flasim", where he once again focused on the issue of investment in Zvërnec and the protests against this project.
"10 years ago, when illegal hunting was rampant in our protected areas and flamingos were not only being killed, but also eaten. 10 years ago, when there was no mention of protected areas, and even the protected areas that were there were no-man's land, while much that should have been protected was just falling prey to greed.
How many hydroelectric power plants would have been built in Vjosa if 10 years ago we had not said stop to all the nonsense of Albania, the mini-energy superpower of the region?
"What would have happened if in these 10 years, we had not expanded the map of protected areas to 25% of the territory of Albania, etc.?" Rama said.
