The Magic of Albanian Flowers in Paris: Olsjana Ajdini Shines at Art Shopping, Louvre

At one of the most prestigious contemporary art scenes in Europe, the Art Shopping exhibition held at the Louvre, Paris, on April 10, 11 and 12, Albanian artist Olsjana Ajdini successfully presented a unique art form that combines nature, tradition and aesthetic sensitivity: artistic works made with natural dried flowers, collected in Albania.
Her pavilion, curated under the identity lunariaa.eu, attracted the attention of hundreds of visitors, clearly standing out from the rest of the exhibitors. While most artists presented modern paintings, photographs or installations, Olsjana’s creations brought a completely unique spirit – a silent dialogue between nature and art, where every petal and every detail carried a story within.

The numerous visitors did not spare their appreciations and emotions, describing her art as “c'est magnifique”, “très jolie”, “unique” and “bravo”. These spontaneous reactions reflected not only the visual beauty of the works, but also the originality and authenticity that they conveyed. In a city like Paris, where art is part of everyday life and standards are high, such appreciation constitutes a significant achievement.

The exhibition was also visited by representatives of the Albanian Embassy in Paris, who expressed their support and pride for the dignified representation of Albanian culture in an international event of this level. Their presence gave an even more important dimension to the artist's participation, turning her into an ambassador of the country's natural and cultural values.
The works presented included pieces from the "Tradita" collection, where elements of Albanian heritage came to life through flowers: motifs such as the Dance of Central Albania, the xhubleta and the lute were reinterpreted in an artistic way, creating a bridge between the past and the present. Alongside them, Olsjana also presented works inspired by France, such as the Savoy and Normandy themes, showing a special ability to dialogue with cultures and translate them into her artistic language.

This was the third exhibition for Olsjana Ajdini and an important moment in her artistic journey – her first exhibition in Paris, after two previous presentations in Tirana and Lucerne, Switzerland. Each step she takes on this path seems to mark a natural growth and a consolidation of her unique style.
Dried flower art is not just a technique; in Olsjana’s hands it transforms into a form of storytelling, where Albanian nature becomes the protagonist and each work carries a part of our identity. In an increasingly digitalized world, this return to organic material and the simple beauty of nature is a powerful reminder of our roots. Her
participation in Art Shopping Louvre is not only a personal success, but also a testament to the potential of Albanian art to stand out on the international stage when it relies on originality, passion and authenticity. Olsjana Ajdini, through her flowers, did not only bring works of art to Paris – she brought a piece of Albania.
For all lovers of this special art, Olsjana Ajdini's creations can be found even closer to the public, at the Flower Café in Tirana and Pristina, where art and nature come together in a warm and aesthetic experience.
