A girl accidentally discovered a very emotional moment on Google Maps: a photo of her and her late friend dancing together on a street corner in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Emily Watlington made the discovery while browsing Street View and immediately shared the image on Twitter (X) writing: "We're dancing together forever on Google Maps."
The post went viral, receiving over 1 million views and nearly 46,000 likes. Many social media users have shared similar stories, recounting moments accidentally captured by Google Street View that have become treasured memories.
Although Street View images are updated over time, Google gives users the ability to go back in time through the small clock icon in the app, where old saved views can be viewed.
