
Today, Albanian art lost one of the most prominent names on stage and screen. Actor and director Enver Petrovci has passed away at the age of 71, leaving behind a rich artistic legacy.
Petrovci was distinguished for his powerful performances in theater, film, and television, where he displayed a rare talent and an extraordinary stage presence. He excelled in both classical dramas and modern roles, earning the respect of his colleagues and the love of the audience.
He completed his first studies at the Pedagogical University in Pristina, while he received his full artistic training at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts at the University of Belgrade. His career saw great success at the “Atelieja 212” theater, where his performances made him known throughout the former Yugoslavia, being considered one of the most important actors of the time.
After the 1990s, Petrovci successfully continued his artistic journey mainly in Albanian lands, in Kosovo, Albania, but also on international stages. He also managed to leave an indelible mark in cinematography, being appreciated in various Yugoslav, Albanian and world productions.
In addition to acting, he was also among the founders of the Dramatic Arts Department at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pristina, where he contributed as a professor, helping to form new generations of actors.
