A Worthy Homage to a Great Master: The Documentary “Requiem for Sculptor Agim Rada” Premieres

An emotional and artistic journey into the life and work of one of the most prominent figures of Albanian art, sculptor Agim Rada, premiered to the public at the Millennium Cinema last night, through the documentary "Requiem" directed and written by Namik Ajazi.

This documentary, made with artistic sensitivity and attention to Rada's free, rebellious and creative spirit, brought a friendly account of the legacy he left behind, from public monuments that combine collective memory with historical symbolism, to the works left unfinished due to the illness that took his life.
At a time when being yourself and having the courage to live freely was not easy, Agim Rada chose the art of irony as the highest form of resistance and individual expression.

Through interviews with collaborators, art critics and family, as well as visual archives, "Requiem" brought to life the journey of an artist who shaped Albanian art in stone, bronze and spirit.
