Following the message published by MP Marjana Koçeku, who publicly addressed the Bajri family in Shkodra, warning that she would not tolerate any threats against her family members, the reaction of Bajri's legal representative, lawyer Sokol Tahiraj, has come.
Lawyer Sokol Tahiraj has rejected the accusations made by the MP, describing them as unfounded and denigrating towards his clients.
"In a state of law, no one can be found guilty or publicly labeled based on political statements, personal perceptions or media insinuations. Any claim for criminal liability must be based on evidence and assessed only by competent judicial bodies. For these reasons, we are seriously considering all legal means available to protect the interests of our clients, including filing complaints with competent bodies and pursuing legal procedures for any statement that turns out to be untrue, defamatory or infringing on their rights," says lawyer Tahiraj.
His reaction comes after Koçek published on social media: "This message is addressed to the Bajrajs of Shkodra. If my family is affected, even a single hair, I will not leave you without destroying you, as long as I have my life."
The MP did not provide further details on the reasons for this reaction, but it implies threats against her family.
